Watch our short film about our zone, our infrastructure and our production power.
Türkiye's first specialized apparel OIZ
The foundations of Buca Organized Industrial Zone were laid in 1996 with the Aegean Apparel Manufacturers Land and Building Cooperative, established by industrialists who came together in the Tınaztepe area of Buca, İzmir. With the support of the Aegean Apparel Manufacturers Association and Buca Municipality, the land designated as an industrial area in the municipal zoning plans was allocated to the members of the cooperative.
Our zone gained legal personality on 8 February 2002 with the approval of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and was registered under registry number 198. In its founding partnership structure, the Aegean Apparel Manufacturers Association held 85%, the Special Provincial Administration 10% and Buca Municipality 5% of the shares. Established for the apparel sector, our zone became Türkiye's first specialized organized industrial zone in this field.
Mixed organized industrial zone
Following the approval of the application allowing sectors other than apparel to invest in the zone, our zone has been operating as a mixed organized industrial zone since 2016. Today, in addition to textiles and apparel, companies from the food, printing and packaging, medical, machinery and metal sectors produce in our zone.
